From Fifty Readers to Thousands
Cape Ann COSMOS began in a garage.
The first issue of the Cape Ann COSMOS Arts, Science & Entertainment Events List was distributed on December 1, 2019, to fifty friends and family members.
We had a simple plan: combine cultural listings into one easy digest, share it with friends—and never miss another concert, gallery exhibition, or museum show again.
Fast-forward to 2026. Cape Ann COSMOS, capeanncosmos.com, and COSMOS social media now reach an estimated 15,000–20,000 subscribers, followers, sharers, and other digital travelers.
Our coverage has expanded from Cape Ann to Greater Cape Ann and North of Boston. But Cape Ann, so deeply anchored in art history, remains our epicenter.
And we remain true to our original editorial vision: offering readers an independent, curated source for the extraordinary cultural life of this region and its inspiring natural surroundings.
