CHRIS MUNKHOLM, Publisher & Editor

After a career in scientific research and management, Chris settled on Cape Ann where it was easy to re-engage in her passion for the arts. She founded a publishing label, Woolsthorpe Press, to produce books on historical science topics. And then Cape Ann COSMOS happened, out of her frustration in missing concerts and exhibitions. With COSMOS she is now well informed—and informing—on the rich Greater Cape Ann cultural scene and community. Chris’ formal education includes art studies at Parson’s School of Design and Pratt Institute, and degrees in chemistry from Salem State and Tufts Universities. Additional projects include Manchester-by-the-Sea Cultural Council and marketing her book Atlas Decrypted a forensic literary study. Chris was the Founding Executive Director of Gloucester Marine Genomics Institute (2013-2019).
