The Ogunquit Museum of American Art presents the first solo museum exhibition of painter Nicole Wittenberg. The exhibition delves into the rich history of landscape painting in the region and reflects Wittenberg’s deep connection to Maine’s natural environment. Included in the show are recent works on canvas alongside a series of pastel drawings. Wittenberg’s art is described as “a textural symphony of color and movement, vividly conveying her emotional connection to nature and its fleeting qualities. ..." The exhibition will occur in tandem with presentations of her work in Cheek to Cheek at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art in Rockland, Maine, and Ain’t Misbehavin’ at the Fondation Le Corbusier in Paris, France. Additionally, the artist’s first monograph survey of her work, published by Monacelli Press, will be available later this year.
